The Battle of Cape St Vincent - 14 February 1797

On 14 February 1797 I took part in the action off Cape St Vincent. I refer to my own account of proceedings and the official dispatch of the Commander-in-Chief. The King for my conduct was pleased to appoint me a Knight of the Bath and to give me a gold Medal. The City of London gave me a gold box.
