HMS Captain

The ship in which I flew my pendant at the glorious Battle of Cape St Vincent, 14 February 1797. She was a 3rd rate battleship with 74 guns and launched at Batson's Yard, Limehouse, London in 1787.

The Captain was present at the capture of Toulon and in Admiral Hotham's actions in 1795 and also took part in the capture of Martinique in 1809.

She was accidentally burnt at Plymouth in 1813.
